The IDB Miami 2008 Host Committee

IDB Miami Host Committee, Inc., is an innovative, not-for-profit, public-private partnership established to coordinate the 2008 Annual Meeting on behalf of the United States.

In past years the IDB Annual Meeting has been paid for by the government of the host country.  This year, in Miami, under the stewardship of the Host Committee, the private sector will play an unprecedented role in planning and executing this historic event.

Representing the South Florida community’s international outlook and commitment to the Western Hemisphere, the Host Committee is composed of local and national leaders in banking, telecom, media, infrastructure, and government who share a profound commitment to social and economic development in the Americas.  This remarkable group invites the private sector, academia, and non-governmental organizations, to join the Committee in creating the best Annual Meeting in IDB history.
